News & Updates

This project allowed me the opportunity to visit my little brother's school and read one of the donated books to his class and tell them about my project. This was so cool!

Along with this I was able to have many helpful conversations with teachers at my school and the principal as well as my classmates and fellow students. With the support of many teachers, I have been able to start a club dedicated to ensuring our school is a safe place for all. The Safe Space Club is focused on providing resources to students as well as creating a welcoming space for learning, friendship and fun.

I recently had the honour of being recognized with a Leading Women Leading Girls Award by MPP Peggy Sattler. It was amazing to meet so many awesome women in my city who are helping and inspiring others. I was so excited to receive this award.

As part of a school project this year I started a podcast where I review different books on my project rainbow wishlist. This was such a fun project and I learned so much. The best part was that I got to interview some of the authors of these amazing books. If you have kids or love kids books check out my podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The interviews are so good and I had so much fun making them. I hope to continue creating more episodes as I am able.

A BIG THANK YOU!

I am so grateful to everyone who has donated books, spread the word and supported me during this project. I plan to continue to collect inclusive books and donate them to local schools for as long as I can.

I hope my podcast episodes,  list of books and my resource page will continue to be helpful, please feel free to keep sharing my site and stay tuned!

Thanks again to everyone who has joined me on this quest to spread the rainbow!
